THE EXPLANATION last updated 11:00am GMT 21.07.2007 - 5 sites out of 7 in the group now live with content No, don't worry, I'm not finishing! For quite a while now I've wondered about doing covers for other favourite programmes of mine, some of which don't exist on video or DVD - and some don't even exist completely in the archives like Doctor Who. One such being the early Seventies children's adventure series Ace of Wands. Some of them have been released on DVD after originally being released on VHS long ago - Blake's Seven and Space:1999 being two of them. A lot of series that have been released came out in volumes containing more than one episode on a tape, so episode-specific covers were not produced. So, as an on going "work in progress" I have decided to use Art of Infinity as an umbrella group for a number of sub sites, all concentrating on a separate programme or genre. From 25.12.2006 keying in the usual www.artofinfinity.co.uk will take you to the Art of Infinity group menu showing all the different sub sites. Clicking on one of those will take you to the front page of that sub site (if it is up and running with some content) You'll also be able to go to the sub sites directly using their own domain names. Here's the current list although some of them currently have no content (give me a chance, this is a BIG change!) |
Chameleon Circuit |
Perception Filter The smash BBC3 series Torchwood spun off from parent show Doctor Who and featuring the character of Captain Jack Harkness will be coming out on DVD soon, but I will be providing episode specific covers for DVD and VHS. Some content is already available! To directly access the site go to www.perceptionfilter.co.uk |
Ace of Wands The charming Thames Television series from the early Seventies followed the adventures of stage magician Tarot as he battled various super criminals and masterminds who used everything from technology to mind control to get their way. Only its third/last season survives in the archives and it has never been released officially, despite being announced for DVD in 2003 Some content is already available! To directly access the site go to www.aceofwands.co.uk |
M-Appeal The Avengers hardly needs an introduction, as most people will know the adventures of John Steed and his colleagues, especially the beautiful and dangerous Cathy Gale, Tara King and of course Emma Peel (after whom this mini site is named). Originally released in various themed volumes on VHS and in various part-series box sets on DVD, The Avengers currently is not available to buy after copyright disputes over the DVD releases - I will be doing episode specific (and possibly themed) covers for DVD and VHS Some content is already available! To directly access the site go to www.mappeal.co.uk |
Main Mission Space:1999 was a great Seventies space adventure series, the last from the husband and wife team Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. It only lasted two seasons, with a different style and some different characters in the second, but told some great stories. Released in volumes on VHS and later in volumes and box sets on DVD, I will be doing episode specific covers for VHS and DVD Some content is already available! To directly access the site go to www.mainmission.co.uk |
The Big Rat The Big Rat featured in Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's series Joe 90 as a gadget for plugging people's knowledge into young Joe's head for performing secret missions. Here I'm using the title to cover any covers I do for other series from the Anderson stable, be that Joe 90, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, Space Precinct, Terrahawks or whatever. I will be doing episode specific (and possibly volume specific) covers for VHS and DVD No content yet - stay tuned! To directly access the site go to www.thebigrat.co.uk |
Project Avalon Blake's Seven was another great Seventies space adventure series, this time from the pen of Dalek creator Terry Nation, and featuring the freedom fighters originally led by Roj Blake fighting against Earth's evil regime, the Federation. Released in volumes on VHS and recently in box sets on DVD, I will be doing episode specific covers for VHS and DVD No content yet - stay tuned!
