Jim closely questions Des - is he the real McCoy or a Xux double? Des watches the 'double' from on board Miss Griffin's ship with her and her crew At Miss Griffin's suggestion, Des wires up Netta's plant to 'protect' him from the Xux Harry Huthwaite (Jim Wiggins)isn't looking to replace Des, just go into partnership with him (whether he wants to or not...) Miss Griffin and Buddo (Simon williams) give Des his mission; to expose Horsley as a Xux humanoid! Des and Jim catch Horsley with his freebie cutlery and bend it all, taunting him to straighten it out with his Xux powers! Des and Jim ponder Miss Griffin's absence - even when he's actually done her repair! Horsley has designs on more than just Miss Griffin's shorthand skills... In his dream Des sees Horsley being 'assembled' by the Xux Jim and Des find the 'humanoid' factory' A disappointed Simon (Michael Maloney) offers to take Miss Griffin out to celebrate his success in getting orders for his mannequins Encyclopedia salesman Anthony Jessop (David Saville) visits the shop, ostensibly from the council education department Des is supposed to slip Jessop some of the tonic he uses so the Mercurians can 'astrally transfer' the Jessop humanoid to their planet and deal with it, but he keeps messing it up Running off into the sunset - but is it real or imaginary?
