Due to John's commitments to other endeavours such as the upcoming Cult TV event this year, the latest list - which should have been out in June - has been delayed until now.

Our apologies for the significant delay.

However, it is now finally available and has just been sent out to members by John. It has also been slightly reformatted to make updated entries and new members easier to find
(we hope!)

We will be making further changes to the list over the next edition to ensure that a) it comes out when it should do and b) includes at least some collection details for
all members -
this new edition we anticipate being published
during November.

New members list published mid August 2004 - sorry for the wait!

Apologies to anyone who has been trying to access the PPS site over the weekend,
yesterday and part of today.

For some reason as yet unknown to us, all the site pages, files etc. still existed -
it's just the Internet wouldn't recognise them. According to the WWW,
I was forbidden access to my own pages - what cheek!

However, we seem to be back up and running, and our apologies for disappearing on you -
but it wasn't our fault, Guv, honest!

For some time email to the PPS site has had to be restricted to a single
email address because of the amount of spam and potential virus attachments
we were receiving.

With the acquisition of separate mail boxes which will be checked before forwarding,
we are now able to return to separate email addresses for each Committee member.

If you wish to send email to any of us, please click on Email on the menubar or

Now the PPS site is easier to use - well a little!

Powered by
Google, you are now able to search
the site for programmes or people - or anything
else - you may be interested in and if it's in any of
our Google-indexed pages, you'll be given a list
of potential pages to have a look at.

You can also search the Internet from
the same engine - good, huh?

Either click on Search on the menubar
or

Radio TellyScope Issue 24 - Jul-Sept 2004

Issue 24 of Radio TellyScope has now been sent to members, although we have to apologise for a pagination error which has resulted in one set of pages being added in the wrong order - all members will receive a corrected sheet to replace the offending one with the next Member's List which is due out shortly. Again, our apologies - the Editor has been shot and the replacement monkey has agreed to do better...

It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of one of our video interview subjects, John Barron. He was 83.

Richard, Dave and I will remember with great fondness the day we spent filming our video with him,
The Life - In A Day - of John Barron, in particular his warmth, kindness, friendlyness and without doubt one of the highlights of the interviews we have filmed to date was when he lapsed back into the role of C.J. to prove that he 'didn't get where I am today' without being a consumate professional and a talented gentleman to boot.

He is survived by two stepdaughters from his marriages and our condolences go to them on John's passing.
We will miss him too.

John Barron - a friend to PPS, sadly passed away Saturday 3rd July

The Life - In A Day! - of Brian Cant - our latest PPS video!

Well, this has been a long time coming -
but to be honest, it hasn't really been our fault (for once!)

Possibly our most famous subject to date, as his credits include many iconic pieces of childrens televisual history.

From
Play School and Play Away to Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley, Brian Cant has been a familar face and voice on our tv screens for over forty years. Who can forget 'Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, dibble, Grub' the Trumpton Fire Brigade for instance?

So join us and Brian for an interview long in the coming -
but a tale worth waiting for! Click
