This year PPS is pleased to say that we have contributed to the annual BBC appeal Children In Need.

Librarian John dressed up as a barmaid in his office's club room and helped raise £55 (sorry, no pictures available [ thank God - John. ] )

As part of an ongoing joke with his line manager, Magazine Editor Martin also dressed up and worked all day at his office doing his normal job of switchboard operator and typist, but looking a tad different to normal
( the one on the left below is the normal one, in case you couldn't tell, mutter, mutter...)

Martin managed to raise over £170 (as well as scare a few folk as well...)

Next year, well - watch this space!

After some time at his Elvendon Road address,
Richard has decided to call it a day there and move on
to pastures new

His new address -
and therefore that of the PPS Treasurer! -
can be found on the updated Committee page,
along with contact details for the Librarian and
Magazine Editor, both of which remain the same.

Any renewals or membership queries
should now be sent to the new address,
although a postal redirect is in force for the near future

Click
here to visit the Committee page for new details.

Treasurer Richard Berry has moved!

The postal dispute with the Royal Mail was over almost before it had begun for a lot of areas of the country, with agreement being reached by Monday morning.

Unfortunately, the Magazine Editor was away and unable to update you and get mailings of delayed materials out to new/renewed members - typical, they wait until your back's turned, grumble, grumble... :-)

However, I am now back - hence this update - and mailings of PPS magazines and lists which are outstanding will be done in the next few days.

Thanks for your patience!

The current postal dispute between the Royal Mail and the postal unions will unfortunately affect PPS mailings until resolved.

Our Treasurer Richard has been away for the last two weeks and so while some renewals have been received from members, nothing has been actioned. Magazine Editor Martin and Librarian John now know who has joined/rejoined, but we are unable to guarantee when the mailings will be delivered!

We will therefore be suspending any PPS mailings until the dispute is resolved and will send out any mailings as soon as we are able to. We apologise for this, but as we are sure you will appreciate it is pretty much out of our hands.

When mailings are being sent out, an update will be posted here.

Thank you!

After almost five years of service to the club as either Librarian or Publicity Officer, David May has decided to move onto pastures new and devote time to all those other things he's wanted to do. We tried locking him up, but he managed to escape!

Many thanks for all your hard work over the years Dave, including helping organise setting up PPS with us in the first place, and good luck with your other pursuits.
